Module Summary
The purpose of this module is to provide students with an insight into traditional and innovative energy sources and their link to sustainable development. Students will learn to distinguish between renewable and nonrenewable resources of energy, including the pros and cons of each resource given. Moreover, this module will discuss the switch to renewable, clean energy for a more sustainable future, including the challenges and barriers. The module will also discuss the interlinkages between the SDGs and energy. Since students are considered ‘proactive responsible citizens’, energy consumption will also be explored.
