Module Summary
The purpose of this module is to give students an overview of food and water security. Students will understand the challenges our food system faces, what food sustainability is, what drives it and how it is measured internationally. In addition, students will understand what food security is. They will learn about water and sustainability, including the causes and effects of water pollution, how the 2030 agenda is contributing to solving water issues through water security, management and conservation strategies. Finally, they will become more aware of actions that governments can take to move towards a more sustainable food system.

By the end of this module ,students will be able to:
- Issues related to our existing food systems
- Define food sustainability and its driving factors
- Be familiar with ways food sustainability can be measured
- Define food security and state its 3 pillars
- State the causes and effects of water pollution
- Define water management and conservation ,and identify ways to achieve them
- Understand the way forward for a more sustainable food system
